Osnabrück (dpa/lni) – Die türkische Journalistin und Schriftstellerin Aslı Erdoğan wird den Erich-Maria-Remarque-Friedenspreis in Osnabrück nicht persönlich entgegen nehmen können. Wie die Stadt am Dienstag mitteilte, sei der im August 2016 nach dem gescheiterten Militärputsch verhafteten, aber nach einigen Monaten wieder frei gelassenen Autorin der Reisepass nicht zurückgegeben worden. Damit könne sie nicht das Land verlassen und die Reisefreiheit nutzen. Der mit 25 000 Euro dotierte Erich-Maria-Remarque-Friedenspreis wird am 22. September an Erdoğan verliehen. Die Preisträgerin werde per Live-Schaltung an einer Diskussionsveranstaltung am Vorabend und an der Preisverleihung teilnehmen, sagte ein Stadtsprecher.

L’écrivaine turque, qui recevra son prix le 10 janvier à la Maison de l’Amérique latine, a été arrêtée le 17 août pour “propagande” et “appartenance à une organisation terroriste”, à cause de ses chroniques dans le journal pro-kurde Özgür Gündem, publiées dans le recueil Le silence même n’est plus à toi (Actes Sud, janvier 2016).
