Ein Gericht in Istanbul hat die in Deutschland lebende türkische Schriftstellerin und Journalistin Aslı Erdoğan von Terrorismus-Vorwürfen freigesprochen. Das Gericht habe Erdoğan von den Vorwürfen der “Untergrabung der staatlichen Einheit” sowie der “Mitgliedschaft in einer Terrororganisation” entlastet, heißt es in dem Urteil, das der Deutschen Presse-Agentur vorliegt. Erdoğan lebt seit 2017 im Exil in Deutschland.

Turkish novelist Aslı Erdoğan is free of charges accusing her of terrorist involvement.
In Istanbul on Friday, the Turkish novelist and journalist Aslı Erdoğan was acquitted of multiple charges against her, including accusations of involvement with a terrorist organization and “undermining national unity.” Another charge that blamed Erdoğan for spreading “terrorist propaganda” was dropped altogether.
